Beating Bowel Cancer
I was Head of Communications for the charity for five years and worked on a number of high-profile campaigns. This wide-ranging role involved strategically planning, implementing and delivering a range of proactive and reactive communications.
I led on the creation, development and implementation of campaigns such as Hidden Heartache, a campaign to highlight the untold story of bowel cancer and promote the charity’s services, and the Decembeard fundraising initiative, achieving widespread media headlines and social media success.
For these campaigns I project managed the communications elements, developed the external narrative and key messages, and ensured each communication was using the right channel to reach the right audience. I worked to ensure projects reached key milestones and deadlines, and that objectives were met.
