Disasters Emergency Committee

Challenge:

The Disasters Emergency Committee raised over £150 million for the Turkey-Syria earthquake appeal. With lots of humanitarian projects happening to support the people of Turkey and Syria, the DEC needed to update supporters with its progress.

 

Solution:

Working alongside a colleague, we wrote an extensive report that highlighted the extent of the humanitarian crisis, how the money from the appeal was being spent and the impact of the aid projects.  

​

It involved delving into internal reports to find the most compelling and impactful examples of how the money was helping to rebuild lives. This included highlighting moving examples of lived experience and developing a narrative with people at the heart of the report.
